Now Open Near Hunters Glen: In a Minute Café
Newly opened In a Minute Café’s tagline is ‘it just tastes like we’ve been cooking all day’, and it really does. There’s nothing that resembles fast food on the menu, but the kitchen sure can crank out some savory dishes in a hurry. There’s plenty of seafood, like any good Maryland restaurant, in dishes like seafood fried rice, crab grilled cheese, and crispy fried catfish. But there is also a meaty cheesesteak, battered Hennessey wings, and Southern-style soul food. It’s certainly hard to imagine those specialties being whipped up in a hurry, but In a Minute Café pulls it off. Seasonality is also important at this casual eatery, and chefs Steven and Reginald create daily specials according to what’s fresh at the market. The menu is focused on daily blue plate items, along with additions like citrus salmon salad and red hot chicken sandwiches. Although In a Minute Café has only been open a few weeks, the offering is that of a much more established neighborhood favorite. Find the eatery just off I495 in a tiny storefront on East Hampton Drive. It’s worth the extra few minutes to find!
